Nanotechnology Cluster Programme

Programme Director of Finnish National Nanotechnology Cluster Programme, Dr Eeva Viinikka has been nominated as member to the Advisory Group of KEEN Regions project.

Keen-Regions aims to accelerate and foster the nanotechnology development in three European regions - Veneto (Italy), Rhone Alps (France) and Basque Country (Spain) - through the establishment of consistent and cooperative networks of research centres, boosting the synergies among the research and business communities and valorising the complementarities among these regions.

Advisory group members will contribute practical input, feedbacks and insights to the setting up of the Joint Action Plan and support the project through dissemination activities, assuring a wider impact outside the partners' area.

KEEN-Regions foresight session was held in Venice November 23^rd and 24^th. The final conference of KEEN-Regions will be organized in spring 2012, when the project results will be presented.

KEEN-Regions is one of the Regions of Knowledge projects. It is supported by the European Commission through its Seventh Framework Programme.
