Micronova www.micronova.fi
Micronova is the leading research centre for micro and nanotechnology in Finland. It is part of Otaniemi Science Park, which is the largest technology hub in the Nordic countries. Micronova is jointly run by VTT, Technical Research Centre in Finland and Helsinki University of Technology, TKK. Over 300 researchers from VTT, TKK and several companies work at Micronova. Most of the R&D work is done in close cooperation with partners at universities, research institutes and companies in and outside Finland. Micronova offers the largest clean room facilities in the Nordic countries.

The Finnish National Graduate School in Nanoscience (NGS-NANO), founded in 2005, provides PhD education in nanosciences.
The school students are provided a crossdisciplinary education consisting of both regular and intensive courses in all major subdisciplines of nanoscience and nanotechnology, as well as supervised and paid research work in a high-level research group. The research and studies in Finland may be complemented by educational and research visits abroad.

The Graduate School On New Materials and Processes educates qualified specialists in different areas of modern materials science and processing. The education is multi-disciplinary and is carried out by the participating institutions. The participating units provide the students with excellent facilities to work at the front end of research and supports research work aiming at doctoral dissertation.
