Finnish Institute of Occupational Health
Nanosafety Research Centre at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health was established in the beginning of 2011. The primary goal of the Nanosafety Research Centre is to contribute the safe use of engineered nanoparticles especially in Finnish workplaces and to support regulators, social partners and other stakeholders in Finland and beyond. The main tasks of the Nanosafety Research Centre are:
- studying the health effects of engineered nanoparticles
- assessment of exposure to nanoparticles at workplaces
- producing tool for risk assessment and management
- education and sharing information about safe use of nanomaterials
